Yesterday was the warmest day of the year so far up here. What better time to get out and explore on the mountain bike. I hit roads around my village. The highlight was going up to a local monastery. The place is off the tourist circuit and really quiet. I put the bike in the lowest gear and powered up some logging trails. The view up top was worth the pain. I could see snow capped mountains all around and could only hear the wind in the pine trees.

Today I took a group of tourists back up to that spot and even though it was cool and overcast it was reassuring to hear how much the guests like soaking in the Tibetan environment. We topped off the night with some Yak hot pot, Yak pizza and Yak dumplings at my favorite Tibetan restaurant in old town. I love my job!
