Located just outside of Shangri-la within a small Tibetan village, guests may choose one of three rides. One route highlights the local reservoir which hosts various kinds of waterfowl, specifically the Black Necked Crane (in season), and plenty of beautiful wildflowers and plants. Another ride brings you through a lush meadow and pastureland for local cattle. As guests pass through three small villages, they will arrive at a small lamasery and gain a birds-eye view of the greater Shangri-la area. The final ride brings you to an ancient local lamasery.
*Tour guide will accompany guests to horseback riding site, where local Tibetans will take over in leading horses and riders to a village home providing an especially authentic visit experience.
